IGCSE / GCEAL
A-School offers the international curriculum, GCE Advanced Level (GCE AL/IAL), at Grades 11 and 12. GCE AL is a widely recognised international qualification, taken in over 125 countries, and is accepted as a proof of academic ability for entry to universities worldwide. The syllabuses develop a deep understanding of subjects and independent thinking skills. All the GCE AL subjects offered are administered by either University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) or London Examinations (Edexcel).
Apart from the HKDSE curriculum, our school also offers non-local curriculums such as GCE A-level and Ontario Secondary School Diploma programme, which are widely recognised by colleges and universities around the world.
The curriculum takes two years to complete. Students normally take four AS-level papers in Grade 11 and continue with three or four A-level papers in Grade 12. Besides, students are required to study the school-based English Language and Chinese Language curriculums which are designed with reference to the framework of IELTS and GCE AL Chinese Language respectively.
We offer a comprehensive curriculum supported by academic coaching to equip students for admission to the world’s top-notch universities. Other than the core subjects and other learning experiences, students normally study 3 to 4 A-level subjects in order to meet the admission requirements of universities.
